Job summary

Dewberry seeks an Entry Level Water Resources Engineer to support water resources work in our Charlotte, NC office. You will create concept-level designs for treatment works and analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models for stormwater, watershed master planning, and stream restoration.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office, eager to work in a collaborative, client-facing environment within a national, multidisciplinary firm.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Water Resources or related field is required.
  • Interest in gaining knowledge of floodplain delineation, storm water management, culvert and bridge hydraulics, and drainage design.
  • 0 - 1 year of experience; previous internship(s) preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform water resources work and concept-level design for treatment works.
  • Analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models for storm water projects.
  • Support watershed master planning, stream restoration, and water quality studies.

Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Water Resources Engineer to perform water resource work in our Charlotte, NC office. Individual will create concept level design of treatment works and analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models and computations for storm water and watershed master planning, stream restoration, and water quality studies.
