Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an emerging Water Construction Engineer/Inspector in the NYC/NJ area to join our collaborative team. You will provide construction engineering and inspection services on water and wastewater projects and document contractor progress, schedule status, and budget status.

You’ll review plans, specs, submittals, and material information, conduct material testing, and monitor activities to mitigate risks. Hybrid work model offered with mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
• Working knowledge of construction engineering and document control.

Responsibilities

• Document contractor progress and quantities completed.
• Manage and document project schedule and budget status.
• Review contract plans, specs, submittals and material data.
• Perform construction material testing and monitoring.
