Job summary

Horsham Water & Sewer Authority is seeking an entry-level operator assistant to help operate, monitor, and maintain the Park Creek wastewater treatment plant under the Treatment Plant Supervisor's guidance. Training provided; responsibilities increase with knowledge and skill development.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a PA driver’s license; prior experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is required.
• Experience in wastewater treatment or related fields is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to obtain PADEP operator certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, monitoring, maintenance of Park Creek wastewater treatment plant under supervision.
• Carry out responsibilities as knowledge and skills grow.
• Learn mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, chemical, and biological concepts related to treatment.
