Job summary

Harnett County, NC is seeking a Wastewater Plant Operator to perform skilled operational, laboratory, and maintenance duties to safely treat and dispose of wastewater. The role involves collecting samples, monitoring plant processes, adjusting operations, and maintaining equipment and facilities in a safe, compliant environment.

Required is a NC driver’s license and a NC Biological Wastewater Operator license (Grade I) or the ability to obtain one within three test attempts.

Responsibilities

• Keeps plant facilities and grounds clean, neat and safe.
• Must be able to drive and operate a vehicle as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
