Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking an entry-level/early career engineer to perform established technical tasks at subsystem and component levels across product life cycle. You will coordinate with product engineers, customer teams, systems engineers, purchasing, suppliers and manufacturing to drive quality decisions.

The role targets a broad set of design and testing activities and offers growth into more complex product areas within Cummins' engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Speak English and Japanese.
• Create and execute test procedures for integration of OEM features.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot root causes during HIL and Field testing.
• Collaborate with cross functional and global teams to develop, execute, and evaluate testing.

Responsibilities

• Investigates product problems, identifies root causes, and documents results with guidance from senior team members.
• Contributes to Product Preceding Technology (PPT), Value Package Introduction (VPI) or Current Product Support (CPS) processes.
• Owns moderately complex problem resolution for components, products, or subsystems and coordinates with stakeholders.
