Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking an entry-level controls engineer to tailor electronic control systems for Cummins products and perform validation testing of integrated hardware and software systems.

Qualifications

• Entry level/early career professional in controls
• Knowledge of applying controls and first principles
• Experience with Python/MATLAB for data analysis or automation

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of electronic controls (open and closed loop) and diagnostics for various applications.
• Own investigation, problem resolution, and documentation with guidance from senior team members.
• Support improvements to electronic controls development processes and tools, including system specification, modeling and simulation, calibration, DVP&R, and troubleshooting.
• Translate customer needs into functional requirements for controls and diagnostic algorithms; design tests to validate performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet objectives and drive results.
