Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Columbus, Indiana, is seeking an entry level Test Engineer for a rotational program focused on product verification and validation.

You will plan and run analyses and tests to understand performance and durability, and you will help drive quality decisions before products reach customers. This program exposes you to system-level verification, data analysis with Power BI, and collaborative problem solving with design and manufacturing teams, preparing you for advanced engineering

Qualifications

• Entry level/early career professional in a technical discipline.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define technical requirements with DVP&R stakeholders and deliver a component-based verification plan.
• Make decisions in verification and validation that impact product performance, reliability, and durability.
• Investigate and address potential component concerns, understand causal mechanisms, and document results with guidance from more experienced team members.
• Apply and support improvement of processes such as technical requirements, iDFMEA, ESW, DVP&R, test planning, and problem solving; use tools like Integrity, Power BI, and McParts as needed.
• Own problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems or services with increasing experience.
