Job summary

General Motors is seeking an early‑career Calibration Engineer to turn engineering requirements into real‑world vehicle performance. You’ll calibrate vehicle systems, analyze data from driving maneuvers, and collaborate with controls, software and hardware teams at GM’s Milford, MI area.

This hybrid role offers hands‑on testing in vehicles, labs, dynos, and simulations, with support from experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering.
• Graduating between Dec 2026 and Jun 2027.
• Willing to work in southeast Michigan and full-time (40 hours/week).
• Interest in calibration, vehicle systems, testing and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize calibrations to meet performance, diagnostic, timing and robustness requirements.
• Review calibrations and test results for quality and consistency.
• Plan calibration activities with leads and strategists.
• Analyze data from in-vehicle tests, simulations, and dynos.
• Troubleshoot vehicle systems, hardware and software issues.
