Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry-level Utility Locator (Field Technician) to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark ground using paint and flags. We offer 100% paid training, outdoors work in all weather, and independent problem-solving opportunities.

You will learn to use locate equipment and software to document tickets and communicate with the team and homeowners. Starting pay is $23.50 per hour with paid time off, holidays, safety shoe vouchers, and company-sponsored

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with clean driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles daily, 2–3 times a week.
• Lift up to 25 lbs, up to 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best locating method and sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
