Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground (using paint and flags), promoting damage prevention in your community. Training is provided on the job to develop the basic skills for success.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour with opportunities for growth, plus a benefits package including PTO, holidays, a company vehicle with fuel card, safety shoe vouchers, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to problem solve quickly and accurately.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First when locating utilities.
• Use provided equipment to locate underground utilities accurately.
• Read maps and blueprints to determine locating sequence.
• Document tickets and communicate with peers and homeowners.
• Respond to on-call shifts and emergency tickets when required.
