Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We train on the job with 100% paid training and provide a company vehicle and fuel card for daily commutes.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, a willingness to work independently, and strong problem-solving abilities to locate utilities quickly and safely.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with tool aids.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best locating method and sequence.
• Use provided locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
