About the Role

As a Utility Fielder, you will spend most of your time working outdoors collecting information about existing electric utility infrastructure. You will use tablets, GPS technology, and digital mapping tools to document utility equipment that engineers use to design new electric distribution projects. You will work independently in the field while collaborating with experienced engineers, designers, and project managers who will train and support your development. What You'll Do

Field Data Collection

• Visit project sites throughout Southern New Jersey.
• Collect information on overhead and underground electric utility equipment.
• Take photographs and document existing field conditions.
• Use tablets, GPS equipment, and mapping software to record field data.
• Identify poles, transformers, electric lines, meters, and other utility equipment (training provided).
• Verify field conditions for engineering projects.
• Walk project routes in neighborhoods, commercial areas, and undeveloped property.

Project Support

• Work closely with engineers and utility designers.
• Upload field notes, photographs, and documentation.
• Help ensure engineering projects have accurate field information.
• Learn utility construction standards and industry best practices.

Safety

• Follow all OSHA, client, and company safety requirements.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work safely around electric utility infrastructure.
• Participate in storm restoration activities when needed.
