Job summary

NC Department of Transportation is seeking an entry-level Utilities Engineer in North Carolina to support the relocation, adjustment, and addition of utilities along highways. The role reports to the Regional Manager and Preconstruction Division and involves project management tasks in support of engineering design activities and schedules.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, familiarity with CADD software (ORD/MicroStation), and the ability to travel to field sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combo of education/experience.
• Experience with utility coordination and project documentation.
• Knowledge of CAD tools and ability to review plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide resource management and supervise staff as needed.
• Review utility relocation plans and cost estimates.
• Maintain relationships with utility owners and support project managers.
