Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is seeking dependable individuals for an underground telecommunications construction role in Southeast Michigan.

This hands-on field position supports crews installing underground conduit and fiber optic facilities, with training provided for those who show reliability, safety, and eagerness to learn. The role offers potential advancement into equipment operation and other skilled positions.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation to report to work.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor construction work.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and move construction materials and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Commitment to working safely.
• Previous construction, utility, landscaping, excavation, or similar outdoor work experience.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Underground utility or telecommunications construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist underground construction crews with conduit and telecommunications infrastructure installation.
• Support excavation, trenching, boring, and restoration activities.
• Assist equipment operators and other crew members during underground construction.
• Handle conduit, pipe, materials, tools, and construction equipment.
• Perform digging, shoveling, backfilling, and other physical job-site work.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Assist with job-site setup and cleanup.
• Follow all safety requirements at all times.
• Work outdoors in changing weather and job-site conditions.
• Perform additional duties needed to keep the crew productive and projects moving.
