Job summary

Pike Corporation seeks an entry level Class C Lineman Underground to join our team supporting electric underground distribution projects. This role requires working at various locations and may involve travel to another state based on customer demands.

You will assist with installing equipment, inspect and maintain tools, and perform rigorous physical labor outdoors, often around high voltage, in varying weather.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of field experience.
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work outside in inclement weather.
• Willing to work outside of the normal work schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists with installing transformers, arrestors, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
• Assists in replacing fuses and clears faulted circuits.
• Work around energized high voltage systems with safety in mind.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good order.
• Perform related duties to complete the job.
