Job summary

84 Lumber is seeking an entry-level truss builder to assemble roof and floor trusses and frame walls for residential and commercial construction. No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided, and you’ll read blueprints, measure materials, and use hand and power tools.

The role is on-site in an indoor manufacturing facility with a first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday–Friday. Pay starts at $17.50 per hour with full benefits after 60 days, plus a 401(k) plan, profit

Qualifications

• Ability to read simple blueprints or work orders.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
• Capable of lifting up to 80 pounds and standing for long periods.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble roof and floor trusses using pre-cut lumber and metal connector plates.
• Read and interpret blueprints or work orders to guide construction.
• Operate hand and power tools safely (saws, nail guns, etc.).
• Maintain quality control of assembled trusses and frames.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
