Fehr & Peers in Tacoma, WA seeks an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer or Planner to build a strong professional foundation under experienced staff. You’ll learn standard techniques, apply them to diverse projects, and grow toward increased responsibilities while collaborating with a team on transportation planning, engineering, and design tasks.

You’ll gain exposure to planning analyses, traffic operations, design, and public outreach, with a culture that values curiosity and collaborative

Qualifications

• Completed bachelor’s or in-progress master’s in transportation, civil or electrical engineering, urban planning, or related fields (geography, math, statistics, or economics). An EIT is preferred for engineering candidates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct transportation analysis and prepare reports, memos, and other technical deliverables.
• Participate in meetings, including preparing presentations and public outreach materials.
• Support project coordination and management activities.
• Engage with professional organizations and industry activities.
• Conduct site visits and collect field data.
• Explore opportunities to contribute to Fehr & Peers internal Research and Development program.
• Embrace learning new tools, technologies, and ways of working while maintaining professional judgment and accountability for results.
