Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in State College, PA seeks an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Group. You will develop expertise in highway or traffic engineering, mentored by senior engineers, and gain exposure to projects ranging from local intersections to major interchanges across the Mid-Atlantic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering from ABET program.
• Involves entry-level professional work with mentorship.
• Experience with MicroStation/AutoCAD preferred and internship accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of roadway alignments, profiles, and typical sections.
• Prepare construction plans for roadway geometrics and MOT.
• Perform drainage and stormwater design tasks with senior engineers.
• Support traffic engineering designs including signals and ITS devices.
• Utilize design software to produce plan sets and 3D models.
• Contribute to technical reports and design documentation.
• Assist in client meetings and agency submissions.
• Coordinate with internal design disciplines and sites for data collection.
