Job summary

Intellectual Concepts seeks an entry-level Transportation Design Engineer to join the team in Atlanta, GA or Birmingham, AL. You will be mentored by technical experts and help prepare roadway design plans, reports, and analyses across diverse projects.

The role requires building fundamentals in highway design, drainage, and safety studies, with training on OpenRoads, MicroStation and related tools, while supporting ongoing engineering tasks and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certification preferred and/or obtaining licensure.
• Experience using OpenRoads is preferred.
• Willingness to receive COVID-19 vaccine or valid waiver by date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual designs and construction plans using OpenRoads.
• Develop geometric designs for highways and streets and plan drainage design.
• Prepare transportation planning reports and roadway safety studies.
• Develop EPSC plans and inspections for stormwater projects.
• Use MicroStation, OpenRoads and related software.
