Fehr & Peers is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer/Planner in Sacramento to build a professional foundation by applying standard techniques under the guidance of experienced staff. You’ll develop skills across transportation planning, engineering, and design projects while learning to take on increasing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or in-progress master’s degree in transportation, civil or electrical engineering, urban and regional planning, or a related field.
• EIT is preferred for engineering candidates
• Experience or exposure to transportation topics and tools listed in the job posting.
• Proactive communication and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct transportation analysis and prepare reports, memos, and other technical deliverables.
• Participate in meetings, including preparing presentations and public outreach materials.
• Support project coordination and management activities.
• Engage with professional organizations and industry activities.
• Conduct site visits and collect field data.
• Explore opportunities to contribute to internal R&D program.
• Adopt new tools and technologies while maintaining judgment and accountability.
