Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering, based in Lenexa, KS, seeks an Early Career Civil Engineer/Transmission Line Engineer to support substation, transmission and distribution projects from 12kV to 500kV. You will grow within a team of specialized professionals, contributing to EPC projects nationwide.

Responsibilities include preparing deliverables, creating construction drawings and specifications, and developing line models using PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE/PLS-TOWER while adhering to standards and safety

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
3.0 cumulative GPA preferred.
0–2 years in transmission/civil engineering with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS TOWER.
Lattice tower analysis/design using PLS TOWER.
Foundation design using FAD Tools and LPILE.
Understanding of NESC, ASCE and IEEE codes and standards.

Responsibilities

Collaborate in a team to understand scope, deliverables, and project updates.
Perform cost-effective designs per industry and company standards.
Generate transmission line design criteria for PLS-CADD.
Build/modify transmission line, pole and tower models in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE and PLS TOWER.
Develop construction drawings, material specs, and loading packages.
Create construction deliverable packages with plan & profile drawings.
Travel to project sites as required.
Attend meetings to support processes.
