Doble Engineering Company in Accident, Maryland is seeking a Coil Winder to operate winding machines in the Transformer Fabrication Winding Department. The role involves attaching, altering, and trimming materials such as wire and insulation, following supervisor instructions.

You will wind copper or aluminum conductors, install taps with soldering, prepare coils for treatment, perform resistance and continuity checks, and maintain a safe, organized work area. Overtime may be required.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of detail‑intense experience with hand and power tools preferred.
• Manufacturing/industrial setting experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assist team members in completing tasks and jobs.
• Understand and follow written and verbal communications.
• Wind coils following instructions using a coil winding machine with supervision.
• Fabricate and install coil forms onto the winding machine with supervision
• Wind copper or aluminum conductors around the form with supervision.
• Install taps in the required location using a soldering iron or torch, with supervision.
• Install insulating materials between the layers of conductors, with supervision.
• Prepare coils for treatment procedures as outlined on the winding sheet (JobPack) for review by a senior level winder.
• Take resistance reading and do continuity checks on coils, with supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and functional work environment
• Operate bake oven with guidance.
• Overtime may be required to meet scheduling requirements
• Accurately track material usage.
• Alert Supervisor of low inventory.
• Assist team members in organizing and storing parts and materials used in the Winding Shop
