Job summary

Big Tex Trailers in Madill, OK is seeking a Welder 1 to join our manufacturing team. Under direct supervision, you will weld trailer components, interpret blueprints, and ensure quality through inspections and proper setup of fixtures.

The role requires learning welding procedures and collaborating with colleagues to troubleshoot issues and meet production goals. You will handle basic layouts, operate plasma cutters and torches, and document work orders while adhering to safety and quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Preferred technical education or welding training.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, welding specs and procedures.
• Must read and follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic math for material fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on various trailer components in compliance with quality specs.
• Read blueprints, set up fixtures, and weld with proper techniques.
• Inspect welds and ensure clean, accurate results.
• Operate fabrication equipment like plasma cutters and torches.
• Document scrap, safety, quality, work orders and inventory as needed.
• Assist team with troubleshooting welding issues as directed.
