Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Traffic Engineer (Hybrid) based in Middleton, Wisconsin to join our traffic engineering team. You will conduct traffic analyses and fieldwork under guidance, using software tools to support transportation planning and reporting.

The role requires a BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field, with Engineer-in-Training preferred. Hybrid work model in Middleton, WI is offered with opportunities to grow within a global infrastructure leader.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Engineer-in-Training certification (or ability to obtain).
• Co-op/internship experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience with traffic engineering or transportation planning projects for WisDOT, municipalities, and/or other transportation agencies.
• Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, IHSDM or similar tools.
• Familiarity with the HCM, HSM, WisDOT FDM, and/or WisTransPortal system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Possess excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Engineer-in-Training certification (or ability to obtain).
• Relevant co-op/internship experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience with traffic engineering or transportation planning projects for WisDOT, municipalities, and/or other transportation agencies.
• Experience with software such asArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil3D, Synchro,HCS, VISSIM,IHSDM or similar tools.
• Familiarity with the HCM, HSM, WisDOT FDM, and/or WisTransPortal system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
