Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is hiring a Lube and Tire Technician in Mayfield, KY. This entry-level role supports the shop by performing oil changes, tire services, and basic maintenance while learning from experienced technicians.

You'll complete Digital Vehicle Inspections, identify safety issues, and contribute to a clean, safe shop. The position offers paid training, benefits, and opportunity for career growth within Sun Auto's technician ladder.

Qualifications

• Reliable, safety-focused, and mechanically inclined.
• Willing to learn basic automotive maintenance and repair processes.
• Ability to follow written procedures, safety standards and store processes.
• Ability to work with technicians, service advisors and store leaders.
• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Flexible schedule including weekends.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services: mounting, dismounting, balancing and rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance (fluids, wipers, bulbs, batteries, filters).
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and repair order documentation.
• Identify safety-related issues and communicate findings through proper channels.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections, where applicable, under supervision.
• Keep shop and customer areas clean and ready.
• Transport customers and parts using company vehicles as directed.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE; report hazards.
• Collaborate with technicians and service advisors; participate in training.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends; other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to Sun Auto's core values and policies.
