Job summary

Bender CCP is seeking a Thermal Spray Technician to join the Operations team in Vernon, CA. In this hands-on role you will prepare components and apply specialized coatings to restore dimensions and improve wear and corrosion resistance.

You will operate HVOF, plasma, flame, and wire arc spray equipment, measure coatings with precision tools, inspect results, and document production activities. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year in thermal spray, industrial coating, metal finishing, machining, welding or related manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with thermal spray processes is a plus.
• Ability to read work orders, drawings and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare components through cleaning, masking, plugging, and grit blasting.
• Set up and operate thermal spray equipment (HVOF, plasma, flame, wire arc).
• Apply metallic, ceramic, carbide and other coatings.
• Monitor equipment settings to meet specifications.
• Measure coating thickness and dimensions with precision tools.
• Inspect finished coatings for defects and quality issues.
• Perform finishing, blending, polishing and cleaning as needed.
• Complete production and inspection documentation.
• Perform basic equipment cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
