Qualifications

• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System or similar Navy training systems.
• Basic hands-on experience with computer or network hardware installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
• Ability to follow established procedures and accurately document work.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the creation and updating of basic test procedures and documentation for Navy training system readiness.
• Support senior testers during system verification and acceptance events at customer or partner sites.
• Help identify and report functional or performance issues found during testing.
• Record test results, update logs, and contribute to simple test report sections as directed.
• Assist with setup, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of hardware, networks, and test environments.
• Participate in demonstrations and team discussions to gain understanding of system design and provide early test-related observations.
• Support routine installation and maintenance tasks for computer and network hardware under guidance.
• Maintain hardware inventories and updating documentation for minor configuration changes.
• Work on clearly defined tasks with direct supervision, with opportunities to increase responsibility over time.
• Primarily working during standard business hours, with occasional planned schedule adjustments to support testing events.
