Ergon Asphalt Partners is seeking a Terminal Operator I for the Hopewell, VA team. This entry-level role offers hands-on work in terminal operations to help ensure safe, efficient handling of products and adherence to procedures.

You will learn to connect railcars, monitor tank temperatures, operate systems like Order Weigh, perform routine yard maintenance, pull samples, and collaborate with teammates, customers, and vendors while reporting to the Terminal Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card if required.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow established procedures.
• Receive and connect railcars, steam lines, and unloading hoses.
• Monitor and record tank temperatures and measurements.
• Operate systems such as Order Weigh.
• Perform routine yard and equipment maintenance.
• Pull product samples as needed.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Collaborate with team members, customers, and vendors.
