Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Technical Marketing Engineer to translate routing and SD-WAN capabilities into clear customer value. You will work with product management, UX, and sales to gain exposure to the full product lifecycle while solving real-world customer challenges.

You will build foundational knowledge of Cisco Secure Routers, IOS XE, branch routing, WAN connectivity, and SD-WAN architectures, and help create collateral, enablement materials, and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree completed within the past 3 years or expected within 12 months.
• Fields include CS, CE, networking, electrical engineering, cybersecurity, or related.
• Foundational IP networking concepts (IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, Ethernet, routing, WAN).
• Interest in SD-WAN (underlay/overlay, policy, path selection, tunnels, segmentation).
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in writing and speech; able to work across teams in the U.S. without visa support.

Responsibilities

• Build foundational knowledge of Cisco Secure Routers, IOS XE, branch routing, WAN connectivity, and SD-WAN architectures.
• Research routing and SD-WAN use cases, customer needs, and competitive offerings, then summarize findings for product and marketing teams.
• Help create technical collateral, presentations, solution briefs, FAQs, enablement materials, and demonstration scripts.
• Support labs and demonstrations by documenting topologies, configuration steps, test results, and customer scenarios.
• Assist with product launches by organizing feature descriptions, use cases, proof points, and field feedback.
• Gather and organize feedback from customers, partners, sales, and engineering to help improve product messaging and requirements.
