H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an entry-level tax assistant in Iowa to help with the initial tax interview by entering client and W-2 information, then assist in closing the interview by assembling the tax return and obtaining signatures.

The role emphasizes delivering superior service to all clients and supporting bookkeeping procedures. The position requires a high school diploma, basic reading and math skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.
• Additional coursework in math, accounting, or finance (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
