Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. seeks an entry-level tax professional to assist with client interviews and return preparation in Osceola, Iowa. You will enter client and W-2 information, assemble the return, obtain signatures, and review the finished product with the client to ensure accuracy.

You will work with Windows-based software, provide clear communication, and support bookkeeping steps as part of the interview process. A high school diploma is required; math and accounting coursework are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reading and math skills are required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
