Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Tapping Machine Operator - 1st Shift at our Saegertown, PA manufacturing facility. You will operate production equipment, inspect parts for quality, and perform basic equipment adjustments to maintain safe, efficient operations.

No prior manufacturing experience is required, and the position is on-site with a 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior manufacturing or machine operation experience required.
• No specific formal education, degree, or professional certification required.
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment safely and follow established work procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills for measurements and production-related tasks.
• Ability to use basic precision measuring instruments to verify part specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and, when applicable, manufacturing blueprints.
• Ability to complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Willingness to follow workplace safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned tapping machines and production equipment safely and efficiently to support manufacturing operations.
• Inspect manufactured parts to ensure they meet established quality standards and product specifications.
• Use basic measuring instruments to check dimensions and verify product accuracy.
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and make necessary adjustments to maintain production quality and efficiency.
• Read and interpret work instructions and blueprints when applicable.
• Complete first-piece inspections as needed to verify that parts meet specifications before continuing production.
• Maintain complete and accurate production, inspection, and quality documentation.
• Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures while maintaining an organized work area.
