Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of metal repair and fabrication.
• Familiarity with reading blueprints and engineering drawings is a plus.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic math.
• Competent in understanding and following verbal and written instructions.
• Able to lift, carry, or move objects weighing over 50 lbs with assistance.
• Knowledge of shop safety procedures and practices.
• Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate and learn.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and service tank trailers and containers.
• Perform basic electrical repairs on trailers.
• Repair trailer plumbing systems.
• Repair framing, insulation, suspension, and fifth wheels.
• Operate MIG/TIG welding equipment for basic fabrication.
• Grind, weld, and patch tanks and containers under supervision.
• Sandblast, priming, painting, fender installation, and decal application.
• Ensure all trailers meet USDOT safety standards.
• Complete tasks efficiently and according to production timelines.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas; follow all safety procedures.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively; wear PPE.
