L. W. Tank Repair Inc. is seeking a Welder / Fabricator to join our fast-paced shop focused on trailers and tanks. Experience with MIG, TIG, or Stick welding is required, with a goal of high-quality workmanship.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of welding/fabrication, read blueprints, and can handle fabrication of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Join our team for steady, full-time work and opportunities to refurbish antique equipment where needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in welding preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Welding certifications (e.g., AWS) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication on trailers, cargo tanks, and related equipment using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
• Inspect and assess damaged tanks, trailers, and components to determine repair needs and solutions.
• Assist with refurbishing equipment and fabricating replacement parts when OEM components are unavailable.
• Repair and rebuild frames, tank components, piping, and structural parts.
• Cut, fit, and assemble metal components (steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
• Operate fabrication equipment (torches, plasma cutters, grinders, press brakes, shears, ironworkers, welding machines).
• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and repair specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist in training new team members.
