Job summary

The University at Buffalo, through Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS), seeks a Systems Administrator I to support on-premises and cloud IT systems, including Windows servers, and contribute to the design of new infrastructure. The role blends hands-on technical work with collaboration across UB Information Technology (UBIT) and campus stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in tech, or a master’s degree, and experience in Windows system administration,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with two years of experience in a computer/technical field, OR master’s degree, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States by their start date.
Experience with Windows system administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide on-premises and cloud IT system support, including Windows servers.
Participate in design and implementation of new on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure and systems.
Communicate professionally and effectively with teammates, management, peers, colleagues, and university constituents.
Maintain and improve technical and professional knowledge and skills.
Work as part of a team.
