Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in Land Surveying or Engineering preferred.
• Prior experience in land surveying, consulting, or the construction industry preferred.
• Ability and willingness to learn survey operations, principles, and practices.
• Working knowledge of engineering plans and construction documents.
• Understanding of office workflow processes and problem-solving techniques.
• Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD or similar applications are a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process survey data using current CAD standards; evaluate accuracy and ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable professional standards under the direction of your supervisor and a licensed professional.
• Monitor field crew production and provide quality assurance support.
• Research historical maps, land records, prior surveys, and title reports.
• Prepare survey computations, staking/control exhibits, and crew instructions for construction staking and field survey projects.
• Prepare cadastral maps, existing-conditions plans, and plats from field and office data using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform initial quality control of field deliverables in accordance with standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with your supervisor to ensure client-specific requirements are met.
• Assist as a field technician, as needed, to complete survey fieldwork.
• Maintain professional, productive working relationships with clients and coworkers.
• Follow established safety and security procedures.
