Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Stafford, TX is seeking a Part-time Customer Supply Chain Support representative.

You will engage in a variety of activities to support the customer's onsite supply chain, building a foundation in customer relationship management and operations. This entry-level role involves responding to requests, managing inventory, processing orders, receiving and shipping stock, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management OR equivalent industry experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Be comfortable in a sales-oriented environment
• Demonstrate core values: ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs up to 75 lbs
• Pass drug screen where applicable in US regions

Responsibilities

• Responding and coordinating resources relative to customer requests
• Managing inventory
• Placing and fulfilling orders
• Receiving and shipping inventory
• Executing inventory fulfillment within the customer facility
• Sourcing and quoting new and existing products
• Participating in continuous improvement activities and implementing new business processes
