Job summary

Family Guidance Centers, Inc. in Chicago is seeking an entry-level Counselor to support substance use disorder treatment at our River North location. You will conduct biopsychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with a clinical team.

Responsibilities include maintaining 20+ billable hours weekly, crisis intervention, family counseling, and discharge planning, with opportunities for growth and certification support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CADC certification required or able to obtain within allotted time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop patient treatment plans and conducts continued stay reviews.
• Provide patient intakes (biopsychosocial assessment), treatment planning and discharge planning.
• Provide direct clinical service to a full caseload with 20+ billable hours weekly.
• Intervene as an advocate for patients in crisis situations.
• Counsel family members to assist in understanding and supporting patients.
