Job summary

SK&A Structural Engineers is seeking an entry-level structural engineer to join our Repair and Restoration team in the Washington-Baltimore metro area. You will perform field assessments, support condition surveys, and assist with design modifications for existing structures under supervision.

Join a collaborative team that emphasizes hands-on field work, reporting, and coordination with project managers, principals, and contractors.

Qualifications

• BS in Structural or Civil Engineering; MS a plus.
• WACEL Concrete Level I Technician certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Possess or obtain Reinforced and Structural Concrete Technician certifications within one year.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform condition assessments of existing structures and prepare survey reports.
• Assist with writing project specifications and bid drawings.
• Oversee field tests and observe concrete pours and testing procedures.
• Coordinate observations with project managers, principals and contractors.
• Travel to field sites, primarily within the Washington-Baltimore metro area.
