Qualifications

• BS in structural design, MS a plus.
• 0–5 years of structural engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood design.
• Strong analysis and modeling with RAM/CSI products.
• Willingness to travel across the U.S. for projects.
• Ability to perform field investigations and inspections.

Job description

We are seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our fast-growing Repair and Renovation Division! This role involves investigation, design, inspection, analysis, and detailing for a variety of structural repair and rehabilitation projects. This position is based out of our Tysons, VA and Washington, DC offices.

Requirements

• BS degree with emphasis on structural design, MS degree a plus
• 0-5 years of experience in structural engineering
• Working knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood design
• Strong analysis skills and computer modeling experience (RAM products, CSI products, etc.)
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Eagerness to learn and desire to grow in your career
• Ability to perform field investigations, inspections, and travel to job sites throughout the U.S.
• Candidates must be able to perform physical duties to carry out the job requirements, including (but not limited to):

• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs of equipment
• Must have access to a vehicle, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to travel to various offices and project sites within the Metro DC area
• Ability to work at heights and safely use ladders and access equipment including aerial lifts, swing stages, and scaffolding, while adhering to established safety protocols
• Ability to work in challenging indoor and outdoor conditions when needed
