Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our New York, NY office with a hybrid work model. The position targets Spring/Summer 2027 start and offers dedicated mentorship within the DCS group of the Transportation line.

Responsibilities include providing technical input, developing procedures, cost estimates, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality deliverables on PS&E packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to be based in New York, New York.

This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant job experience, work or internship, is a plus.
• EIT/FE Certification or ability to obtain prior to the start date.
• Experience as an Intern, Co-op, or other professional development.
• Experience or education in reinforced concrete and/or structural steel design.
• Ability to work with a diverse team located in the Piscataway, NJ.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work.
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible, along with ability to adapt to project deadlines.
• Ability to apply passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment.

• This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in New York, NY. The selected candidate must be available to work in New York, NY on a scheduled basis.
