LJB Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer for our Buildings Practice. You will analyze, design, plan, and create structural components to meet project goals for clients.

The role offers exposure to tilt-up construction and steel detailing, with growth opportunities into a Project Manager role. A Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering is required, with PE license within four years preferred; CAD experience with Revit/Bluebeam is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering with structural emphasis required.
• Ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license within four years is desired.
• CAD experience (Revit and Bluebeam preferred); STRAP or other structural analysis software experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsabilités

• Analyze, design, plan, and create structural components and systems to meet design goals.
• Complete structural calculations for systems including superstructures, foundations, and slabs.
• Assist with preparation of construction documents for vertical building structures.
• Coordinate with design staff to ensure accurate drawings and documentation.
• Communicate with the team and clients; attend meetings under supervision.
• Travel as required; adhere to safety requirements on worksites.
