Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers in Bellevue, WA is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer to join the Design Engineering Services Group. You will support the infrastructure design team's efforts on multiple projects, applying structural principles to concrete and steel bridge programs and related facilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 0–2 years experience in relevant structural engineering design.
• Experience with engineering plan production and calculations; familiar with current tools/software and CADD production.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to engineering and CADD teams in developing preliminary and final plans and details.
• Identify and understand the technical requirements of high-risk projects and implement engineering principles to develop solutions.
• Identify, interpret, and apply appropriate design standards and codes; ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Participate in technical meetings and discussions, and strategize solutions to complex or unique technical problems.
• Identify and implement new technologies that provide a competitive advantage.
• Identify technical differentiators and develop schemes for key project pursuits.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Kiewit and/or project-specific Quality Management plans.
