KPFF Seattle's Structural Team seeks an Entry Level Structural Engineering Designer to contribute to diverse building projects from day one. You will work with licensed engineers on analysis, design, and documentation while developing expertise across concrete, steel, timber, and other materials.

• ABET accredited master's degree with emphasis on structural engineering (MSCE/MSE)
• 0-4 years' experience under a licensed professional engineer
• Familiarity with reinforced concrete, structural steel, wood, masonry, and/or post-tensioned concrete for building structures

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design using industry‑standard software under supervision.
• Develop 3‑D BIM models and construction documents, coordinating with drafters and disciplines.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams on building projects.
• Apply core engineering principles and mathematical techniques to real-world challenges.
• Participate in client meetings and site visits to gain project exposure.

Located in downtown Seattle,ourStructural Engineeringteam is seeking anEntry Level Structural Engineering Designer.This position willprovide the opportunity for youto dive headfirst into real-world projects from day one.You’llcollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute toavarietyof building project types andmaterials;as well as:

• Gain hands-on experience while learning directly from licensedstructural engineers.
• Perform structural analysisanddesignofbuilding componentsand systemsusing industry-standard software under supervision.
• Contribute to thedevelopmentof 3-D BIM models and construction documents including communicating with project drafters, structural detailing, and multidisciplinary BIM coordination.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• An ABET accredited master's degree with an emphasis on structural engineering (MSCE/MSE)
• 0-4 years’ experience working under a licensed professional engineer
• Coursework and/or familiarity with reinforced concrete, structural steel, wood, masonry, and/or post-tensioned concrete for primarily building structures

Additional Information

Physical Demands:

• Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.
• Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
• Occasionally visiting project and construction sites may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.
• Traveling to project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying.

Compensation:

The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate is$81,000 - $105,000 annually.
