KPFF Inc. Seattle’s Civil/Structural Team is seeking a Bridge Engineering Designer to contribute to a diverse range of bridge and heavy civil projects, from design through inspection and construction support.

You will work with senior engineers, perform analyses, prepare sketches, and participate in client meetings and site visits in a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree with a structural emphasis and up to 4 years of experience under

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with an emphasis on structural engineering.
• 0-4 years experience under a licensed professional engineer.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Passionate about providing exceptional client service.
• Self-motivated and eager to develop and grow as a structural engineer.
• MSCE/MSE and EIT certification or FE exam planned are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of bridges and heavy civil structures, including new construction and rehabilitation.
• Conduct structural analysis and prepare design sketches under supervision of professional engineers.
• Perform inspection and fieldwork, supporting data collection and documentation.
• Engage in technical and project discussions within the design team.
• Apply core engineering principles and advanced mathematical techniques.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Join client meetings and site visits to gain exposure to project development.
• Gradually participate in project management tasks such as budgets and schedules.
