Job summary

The City of Marysville is hiring an entry-level Maintenance Worker to perform routine duties related to installation, inspection, maintenance and servicing of municipal parks, facilities, and utilities. You will work on a crew under supervision and support repair, construction, and preventive maintenance tasks.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, one year of related experience, and a Washington State driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related parks/grounds/facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Washington State Driver’s License required or ability to obtain within one month.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs, and services municipal utilities, facilities or equipment as assigned.
• Assists senior employees with operation of maintenance equipment and tools.
• Assists with traffic control and work zone setup for crew safety.
• May be assigned to other divisions during peak workload or emergencies.
• Assists in confined space entry situations (e.g., ditches, manholes).
• Accepts guidance, direction, and feedback from others.
• Assists with cleaning operations for sewer and storm sewer systems.
