Barnes-Jewish Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, is recruiting for a Sterile Processing Technician in Missouri. This entry-level role supports decontamination, preparation, sterilization and distribution of sterile surgical instrumentation to ORs and clinics.

Expect varied shifts, with days and nights available, across multiple locations within the system. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and are ready to learn in a fast-paced perioperative environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level role with no prior experience required.

Responsabilités

• Assembles and processes instrument sets, trays, and supplies per surgery schedule.
• Disassembles, cleans, inspects, tests instrumentation and power equipment for OR cases.
• Utilizes sterilizers and case carts for just-in-time delivery to procedural areas.
• Documents tray contents and completion using the tracking system.
• Maintains sterile and non-sterile supply control and supports safety protocols.
