Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking an energetic Staffing Specialist to join our team in a full-time, permanent internal role. You will recruit, screen, interview, and onboard candidates while delivering excellent service to clients and temporary staff.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of sales or customer service experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. Local travel to client sites may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in recruiting, staffing, HR, customer service, or business development preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and temporary employees
• Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard qualified candidates
• Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, and recruiting platforms
• Match candidate skills and experience with client staffing needs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and temporary associates
• Conduct follow‑up calls to ensure employee satisfaction and successful placements
• Generate and develop new business opportunities through sales and networking efforts
• Perform client service calls and outside sales visits to maintain and grow business partnerships
• Promote Surge Staffing services and identify additional staffing solutions for customers
• Support branch operations through administrative and data entry tasks
• Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and retention efforts
• Resolve employee and client concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Support branch growth initiatives and contribute to overall revenue goals
