Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a motivated Staffing Specialist to join our team in an entry-level capacity. This full-time role focuses on sales, customer service, recruiting, and business development to support staffing and workforce solutions for clients and candidates.

The position involves recruiting, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing client/customer support, with opportunities to grow into leadership roles and expand service offerings across the branch network.

Qualifications

• 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in recruiting, staffing, HR, customer service, or business development preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally to client locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and temporary employees.

• Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, and recruiting platforms.
• Match candidate skills and experience with client staffing needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and temporary associates.
• Conduct follow-up calls to ensure employee satisfaction and successful placements.
• Generate and develop new business opportunities through sales and networking efforts.
• Perform client service calls and outside sales visits to maintain and grow business partnerships.
• Promote Surge Staffing services and identify additional staffing solutions for customers.
• Support branch operations through administrative and data entry tasks.
• Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and retention efforts.
• Resolve employee and client concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Support branch growth initiatives and contribute to overall revenue goals.
