Job summary

SCM Real Estate Services is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas/Fort Worth. This entry-level role works hands-on in Rent Manager and supports broader accounting functions. Pay is commensurate with experience.

You will perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, process accounts payable and receivable, and prepare journal entries. Collaboration with the small team and CPA coordination will be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business; recent graduates encouraged.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Rent Manager experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a small team; interest in commercial real estate accounting.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations across entities.
• Handle monthly credit card reconciliations and AP/AR processing.
• Prepare journal entries and code expenses; data entry in Rent Manager.
• Review financials for accuracy and support management decisions.
